Interview with Kriszta Goda

The media notoriously refers to the movie as a thriller, yet in reality, it is a piece that is fairly difficult to categorize when it comes to its genre placement. Interview with Peter Gardos

Filmhu: What was in Dezso Kosztolanyi that really attracted you to his work? Peter Gardos: The key inspiration came from the atmosphere of the novella itself. The daunting, claustrophobic mood that Kosztolanyi used to portray the everyday life of the small town priest-led boarding school. Prank basically originates from the same period as The Confusions of Young Torless by Musil (This is one of my favourite novels).

Interview with Janos Edelenyi

Filmhu: In Hungary, people think of you as a first-time director whereas for example on the website of the British Vita Nova Films your very own producer refers to your movie as your"great comeback movie". How do you regard yourself? J.E.: Well, to be honest with you I would not necessarily say I like the term "comeback movie". Moreover, in the beginning I tried my very best to keep away from it all together. Then I soon realized that essentially, the notion itself is in perfect harmony with the message of our movie, which is: in life, there is almost always a second chance. In addition, in a sense, Prima Primavera, which is my first full feature movie, is ultimately my very own second chance.
