Hundreds of innocent priests and monks were imprisoned; others were roped in the network as agents of the State Security Services, whose reports threw their companions at the mercy of authorities. Through moving, cathartic fates, the documentary evokes the past, the lives of people who became victims or collaborators of the dictatorial regime. Particular events are evoked by reports of state security agents, conversations tapped by the secret services as well as personal memories of victimized confessors. Authentic evidence of newsreels, photo montages, diary details, agent reports and observation photos, memories of survivors and short reconstruction scenes present the historical period.
