„This is a film which presents the personal life of Miksa Domonkos and partly that of István Domonkos, while at the same time contributing to an interpretation and analysis of the social processes of today's Hungary. The all but legendary acts of bravery carried out by Miksa Domonkos to save the Jews of Budapest are recognised by historians and treated as factual...I chose the title Living History for the film because, instead of reading the pages of a history book, this is a first hand account of events from Miksa Domonkos's son. From a person who actually lived through all of the things he talks about." (Gergely Fonyó)
