After losing their daughter in an accident a middle-aged couple gets one more chance from fate to give a home to a girl they employ as a housekeeper. The presence in the house of the dumb girl, Anna, seems to change everything. Can the couple exploit this unexpected opportunity? Can the sins of the past be made good? Is there anything like an innocent lie? This black and white story is told from the point of view of the dumb girl.
