Bence, who was born in Puszterszer, has since then achieved numerous awards and become the most distinguished international nature photographer. Year after year he has won such awards hands down and as recognition British newspapers have featured him on their first pages alongside David Attenborough. Among ornithologists and photographers both at home and abroad he is simply referred to as the "world's best photographer of birds". Since achieving such prestigious heights Bence no longer has to carry water on the back of a bike. He now swapped his bike for a car and drives a 25-year-old Lada Combi. And he really does need a set of wheels because there are now a dozen observation points in Kiskunság, and this somewhat eccentric photographer opts to sit in these rather than resting on his laurels.
