Józsi overhears Ervin's telephone conversation but completely gets the wrong end of the stick. From this point on he is convinced that Ervin's sly scheming has been behind all the recent troubles that have befallen him, so he invents a series of things to annoy Ervin with.

Once he lets it slip out that tasty sausages could be made out of Zoja, Ervin's dog. The dog disappears the next day and coincidently at the same time Józsi starts fervently making sausages. At the railway station everybody seems to know that something terrible is going on. Józsi suddenly realises that people are avoiding him.

An accusation is quickly made: Józsi has made Zoja into sausages. Even though he is able to prove that he had nothing to do with the dog's disappearance and even searches for it himself, albeit secretly, his word no longer has any credibility. It still doesn't help when a one-hundred-year-old nurse checks the sausages with her pipettes and declares that they are made 100% out of pork. Józsi is only let off the hook when Zoja turns up after having withdrawn to give birth to pups.
